KĀF can connect from both sides: Thus it has four forms: detached, initial, medial, and final.
The little squiggle over the tail of the letter is not normally written in handwriting.

KĀF has special combination forms with ALIF and LĀM:

ک + ا =	Hindi equivalent: का
ک + ل = ک	Hindi equivalent: कल or क्ला

Remember that nothing can connect after ALIF so ﰷ is also a breaker. On the other hand ﰻ is not a breaker because its final element is ﻝ.
